Common questions
Price and paying
Is there a free trial?
No. There is no free trial or free plan. You can cancel at any time, and you won't be charged again after you cancel.
What's the difference between monthly and yearly?
Only how you're billed. Both include everything. Monthly is $5 each month. Yearly is $60 once a year.
How do I pay?
Through a secure checkout run by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
Does it renew on its own?
Yes. Your plan renews at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes. Open Plans in the app and choose the other option.
Can I get a refund?
Payments aren't refunded, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged by mistake, email [email protected].
Cancelling and your information
How do I cancel?
Open Plans in the app and choose Cancel Subscription.
What happens to my plan after I cancel?
You can still open, read and print your plan until the end of the time you've paid for. You can't make changes. After that date, your plans, calendar, and sign-in records are permanently deleted within 24 hours.
Can I delete everything right away?
Yes. In the app, open Security and choose to delete your account. Everything is deleted immediately and your subscription is cancelled, so you won't be charged again. This can't be undone, so print your summary first if you want a copy.
Sharing with family
Do the people I invite have to pay?
No. They create their own free sign-in to see the plan you shared. Only the plan owner pays.
What can they see and do?
You decide for each person: they can only look (“Read only”), or they can also help fill it in (“Read & write”). You can invite up to 3 people and remove anyone at any time.
Why are they asked for a code from their phone?
To protect your plan, anyone viewing a shared plan must turn on two-step sign-in. It uses an authenticator app on their phone.
What EstatePlan Ready is
Is this a will, or legal advice?
No. EstatePlan Ready helps you gather and organize information for an attorney. It doesn't write a will or trust, and it doesn't give legal, tax or financial advice. An attorney licensed in your state should prepare your documents.
Do I need an attorney already?
No. You can start now. When you're ready, the app links to independent directories of accredited estate planners and board-certified specialists. We don't recommend or endorse any particular attorney.
What do I need to use it?
A web browser on a computer, tablet or phone, and an email address. You can also sign in with Google, Microsoft, Facebook or Apple. You must be 18 or older.
I'm a financial advisor or attorney. Can I sign up for clients?
Each person signs up and pays for their own plan, and owns their information. You're welcome to send clients to this website before a first meeting.
How do I get help?
